Heidi loves the tree because it is mostly blue! Blue is her favorite color. She kept saying,"Mommy it's so beautiful!". It made me happy to see her so excited. I was almost as excited as her because last Christmas we never got around to putting up the tree. So this year it feels like a REAL Christmas!

BBQ & Alligator Alley
were afraid! It was so cool. Also we were there in time for the alligator feeding. So we watched this guy feed these huge alligator whole chickens. They were dead chickens but they were whole, feathers and all! The kids really liked that part also. Alligator Alley is home to the worlds largest captive alligator. They call him Captain Crunch. ( didn't get a pic of him though, he likes to hide! ) He is about 15 foot long and 1000 pounds. Usually they top out at around 12-13 foot and 700-800 pounds. We thought that was neat. He was huge. We did see him but couldn't get a good pic of him. I think I liked the snakes and the lizards the best. They had a lot. They were really pretty. I have some pics of some of the kids and some of the alligators and one of the lizards that I thought was pretty. It is a monitor.
Lastnight we went to Nate and Christy's house for Christy's birthday! She turned the big 30! We had BBQ ribs and veggies. It was really good. Nate is a master at the grill! I have some pics that I took on my phone of Heidi and Annabelle playing dress-up. Heidi is Snow White and Annabelle is Minnie Mouse! All the cousins had fun playing. They swam before it got dark! I'm sure all the kids slept good! I know Heidi did! It has been a while since we all got together, so it was fun. My mom took pics on her camera of all of us when we were holding the snakes and alligator so hopefully I will have those on here soon to share! Tomorrow starts a new week! Not much planned, so we will see!

Tupperware Party!
Then I got this really cool thing called the pick-a-deli. You put your pickles or olives in it and when you want one you just pull up the handle and it pulls them up out of the juice. The Tupperware lady said they call it the "tupperware elevator"! I thought Wayde would like it. He loves those little sweet pickles and I thought that would make life easier for him!! lol
The next thing I got was a set of bowls that they had on sale Buy 1 Get 1 Free! I think everyone at the party got that deal because it WAS such a great deal! Then another thing I got was a banana keeper. As you can see it is a piece of Tupperware in the shape of a banana. This one is for Heidi. It was only $2!! If Heidi doesn't eat all her banana I just put the other part of it that is unpeeled in the banana keeper and it will stay good in the refrigerator without turning brown and yucky! I thought that was a neat idea, especially for kids. So I had to get one. Also we played some games and I got 2 freebies. I got a small piece of tupperware for salad dressings and such. I will probably use it with my new lunch tote! Also I got a citrus peeler, which is great for Wayde because he cannot peel and orange to save his life!! : )

Been a long time!
Today is July 18, 2009, what would have been my little sister, Bridgett's birthday. She would have been turning 20 years old. It's a little bitter sweet today. I don't really know what my mood is today. Kinda BLAH! I'm not really sad though. I just really miss her a lot. I was talking to Wayde about it and I told him that a lot would have been different if she were still alive. Aug 6 will be 12 years since she passed away. If she were still alive she would have been in my wedding. She would have gone to prom, and most likely whenever she got married I would have been in her wedding. I don't think about this kinda stuff all the time like I used to when she first passed away. Just every once in a while on her b-day and other holidays. I know she is in a better place. But you know that saying "time heals all wounds"? I don't believe it. It still hurts; not as bad as the day it happened, but it still hurts. Sorry to be depressing on this post. Just some things on my mind today.
On a happy note. I am sticking with my weight loss. I kinda fell off the wagon for a few months but now I'm back. I've lost almost 10 lbs again. (of the weight I lost and gained back) So I kinda had to start back over from scratch. I am determined to make it stick this time! I am on day 5 of Jillian Michael's (The Biggest Loser) "30 Day Shred". It is a really good DVD. It has 3 levels. You start at level 1 then work your way up as it gets easier each day. The first couple days I was really sore, but now the soreness has gone away. I am still on level 1. I think I may move up to level 2 in a few days. The idea is to do the DVD every day for 30 days straight, hence the name! Anyway I am proud of myself because I have been able to get through it every time, so I know my body is getting stronger and stronger. I talked one of my friends into getting the DVD and she is ready to kill me now because she can barely move! : ) That just means it's working I told her!!
So I will try to be more diligent in keeping up the blog. (for Nikki's sake!! lol) I know this is the main way we keep up with what's going on with each other!

This week/weekend
This morning we went to church. The kids in the childrens church class that I teach were excited this morning because they got to recite The Lords Prayer by memory in front of the congregation. It was so sweet and cute. I presented them all with certificates for completing the 8 week course that went along with it.
Right now Wayde is on a motorcycle ride to Daphne to go to the Bass Pro Shops. My last words were, "Don't spend all our money!". ha ha So I'm sure he is having fun right now! He went with a few guys from church. Later I am going shopping for some juice glasses at Old Time Pottery and then me and Mom are going walking for about an hour at the church. It is a good place to walk because it is 40 acre of land and it is quiet. Also there are horses and cows out there!! I am trying tom make my self walf for atleast an hour every other day if not more.
I am excited to be off the rest of this week until Friday. Next week though I finally have a weekend off. Hopefully I can get some more pics up soon.

The Hospital, The Harley & The Happy Bedtime Bugs!!
So today was a very full day for me. I got a call waking me up this morning and it was my mom telling me that she was on her way to the emergency room with my Granny. Long story short, my Granny has an irregular heartbeat right now and they want to keep her in the hospital for a couple days until it goes back to normal.
So I have been at the hospital all day until tonight. Or should I say today since its past midnight?!?! Anyhoo....when Wayde came home tonight, he wanted to go out. I was so excited because we haven't been out 'just us' in a while. We went to one of our favorite places in Gulf Shores, Alabama, 'Indigo Joe's'. Wayde got a philly cheesesteak sandwich and I got a grilled ahi tuna sandwich; since I'm eating healthy. It was really good food and we rode Wayde's mom's Harley motorcycle. Wayde will be riding it for the next 6 weeks because his mom got foot surgery and can't ride for a while. It was fun to ride. Usually I ride with Wayde on his yamaha. It is smaller but still fun. I haven't rode in a while though. It was kinda cold so I got to wear my leather riding jacket for the first time. I felt like a biker babe!!! : )
So I have posted some pictures that I took of Wayde and Heidi before I tucked them both into bed!! As you can see they were both in good moods before they went to sleep. I hope I sleep good tonight too!! Goodnight!

Alrighty then.....
Ummmm...yea...well, I guess the blog thing might not have been such a great idea 2 months ago! ha ha I have got to make myself write on this thing every so often. Christmas and New Years has come and gone since the last time I wrote. A lot has happened. Wayde has been at his new job at Columbia Southern University for over a month and he is loving every minute of it. He is in the IT dept. workin' up a storm every day. Heidi is just being Heidi every day driving me nuts!! But I love her and wouldn't have it any other way. Above is a pic of her swinging at the park a few days ago!! Things are finally starting to calm down since the holidays. I have beem getting a lot of things done here at home. I guess you could call it 'spring cleaning', although its not technically spring yet. I have just been going through clothes and giving them to the Waterfront Mission and people who need them. Last week I started a weight loss program with my mom and 2 other friends. We are all on a team and we have to lose atleast 10 pounds a piece in the next 10 weeks. The name of the program is "Scale Back Alabama". Depending on which team loses the most weight the winners get a cash prize based on weight loss. Anyway, I weighed myself this morning, which has been exactly a week since it started, and I have lost 4 pounds. I am so excited. I set my goal at 2 pounds a week so I am already ahead of schedule. yay me! Well, I am here in bed on the laptop and Wayde is asleep, so I will post again soon. Hopefully I will get some more pics on here! :)
